Design Forum

Following the successful Visioning Event in June 2017, the Steering Group along with the appointed consultant Feria Urbanism, ran a two-day design and planning session on Wednesday 1st November and Thursday 2nd November 9.30am until 4.00pm

This was followed by a third day on Tuesday 28th November 2017 at the Liphook Millennium Centre.

This event was taking the results of the earlier Visioning Event and with the help of the community, starting to turn them into a plan for the future.

The results of the two-day design forum

There was a public meeting open to everybody in the parish at 7.30pm on Thursday 2nd November 2017 to conclude the design forum.

A summary of the progress to date was presented, and a copy of the slides along with a video of the presentation can be viewed in the links below:

It is important to understand that this presentation slide deck is a snap-shot in time and a record of where we are at. It is not an endorsement of any of the proposals. It was a working document to inform next steps and an input to Day 3.

In addition, the individual presentations and submissions from the first day can be downloaded in the following links (ZIP file of PDF documents):

The results of Day 3 of the Design Forum

The Steering Group would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the attendees to Day 3 of the Design Forum. Without your support and ideas it would not have been the success that it was. As always there was fantastic debate and exchange of views – this is a critical part of the creation of our Neighbourhood Plan.

We are currently processing all the information gathered and will provide more detailed updates and information as soon as possible.

What’s next?

Following the three days of the  design forum the appointed consultants, Feria Urbanism, along with the steering group will look at the results and produce and report detailing the finding and options for progressing the plan.

The results of the design forum will help shape the Neighbourhood Development Plan and start to highlight emerging themes and topics that will form the basis of the NDP.

There will be more community engagement events planned for the future for the community to continue to see how the NDP is progressing and provide further input and feedback. We will be announcing the planned schedule in due course.
